Lion hunting quotas decreasing..

Source: Wilderness Safaris (Homepage)

Date: 21 December

Author:Anon

Speaking about the ongoing lion research projects in Hwange national park, Wilderness Safaris says "The research has already resulted in the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Management significantly reducing the number of lions on quota for sport hunting on the boundary of Hwange National Park. The Department of National Parks and Wildlife Management are now considering a four-year moratorium on lions.

Note from Ed:

I recently had word from a friend of mine who confirmed this possible 4-year moratorium. we would be very interested to confirm this officially if anyone has that sort of information.
